Meet the Team

Jodie A. Tedrow

CEO

Jodie has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and financial sector.  She accepted the CFO position with Securico in April of 2020, and helped the Company launch the final expense product division.  Then in 2023, the prior Securico CEO and current Chairman of the Board, Robert Myer, stepped down and named Jodie as his replacement.  

Prior to joining the Securico team, she had similar roles with other companies including Excel Finance Company, and Veritrust Financial.  During her time at Veritrust Financial, a securities broker-dealer and insurance agency in Austin, Texas, Jodie became a FINRA licensed Registered Principal (series 6, 26 & 63) and Financial Operations Principal (series 27).  She was also the firm’s Designated Executive Representative and participated in multiple audits conducted by FINRA and the SEC.

Jodie has an undergraduate degree from St. Edward’s University in business administration with a focus in accounting and finance.  She began coursework to obtain her MBA in accounting from Texas A&M University.  Her true passion is animal rescue - Jodie takes every opportunity possible to donate time, talent and treasure to this cause. She fosters dogs from Central Texas organizations like Gold Ribbon Rescue and Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue.  

William G. Kintzle

Vice President

With over 15 years of industry experience, William serves as the Vice President of Securico Life. He joined the company in August of 2021 as the Marketing & Operations Director, and worked closely with the CEO and CFO to build Securico’s final expense division.  William has worked diligently to help the Company launch multiple initiatives including our application portal, underwriting engine, and marketing strategies, which have significantly improved sales and operational efficiency.

Before joining Securico Life, William served as a Senior Commercial Underwriter at DMI Insurance Services, managing a substantial book of business and delivering high-quality risk evaluations. William began his career at Mercury Insurance Company, where he developed a strong foundation in underwriting concepts and risk analysis.

Although William pursued a degree in Communications at Santa Ana College, his extensive experience and skills in underwriting, process improvement, change management, and project management has been key to his success. Known for a keen eye for detail and the ability to foster strong relationships with agents and partners, William continues to drive successful outcomes at Securico Life. Outside of his professional achievements, William has a lifelong love of basketball, having played varsity all four years in high school and earning all-conference honors. He now enjoys coaching his two kids in the sport.

Janea Taylor

IT Director

Since joining Securico Life as IT Director in February 2024, Janea has already made huge improvements in our technology infrastructure, significantly enhancing our system efficiency and reliability. Her leadership and expertise have been invaluable in driving our technology initiatives forward.

Janea entered the IT field in 1999 and has since held a variety of positions ranging from network engineer to systems analyst and solutions architect. Janea worked primarily in the area of software engineering and web services development in the 15 years leading up to joining the Securico team. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in IT, concentration in Programming. Janea also completed her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 2017 from St. Edward's University.  

Janea aspires to be well rounded and has a keen eye for seeing the big picture when it comes to process and continuous improvement. Personal improvement, as well as developing and maintaining positive and healthy team dynamics is something she is quite passionate about. 

Michael Pacheco

Director of Operations

Michael Pacheco joined Securico in June 2024 as our Director of Operations, bringing with him 19 years of industry experience. In his current role, Michael is dedicated to defining and implementing best practices, developing comprehensive standard operating procedures, and optimizing workflow to drive operational excellence.

Before joining Securico, Michael was a Manager in Risk Management Services at the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), where he led the Claims Intake and Document Ingestion Department. His career began in the insurance sector with Mercury Insurance Company, where he established a strong foundation in the field.  Michael’s nearly two-decade career is marked by versatility and progressive growth. We are delighted to welcome him to the Securico family and look forward to his contributions to our continued success.

Outside of work, Michael is passionate about fitness and enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team and playing pickleball with his wife on weekends.
